Classic late 70s or early 80s evening envelope bag. This purse is in three-tone metallic colour block of copper, gunmetal grey and silver. You can sling it crossbody for that hands free dancing or mingling, or tuck it under your arm as a clutch, or drape it over your shoulder. It has a single large compartment with a interior zipper pocket and a grosgrain fabric lining marked with "Whiting and Davis, Made in the USA". It has a single magnetic snap closure and a 21 inch removable gold drop chain that easily converts from clutch to shoulder to crossbody. The purse is in good condition with no rips, tears or stains. There is a tiny bit of wear on some of the metal chains/circles on the envelope point on the front from use (opening and closing the magnetic snap). Not easily seen unless looked at very closely, please see photos. The purse measure about 9 inches wide x 6 5/8 inches high x about 3/4 inch deep. It can easily hold your phone and your evening out essentials (cards, lipstick etc.). A total eye catching accessory to finish off an outfit!

A little bit about Whiting & Davis:
In 1876, Wade Davis & Company is founded by William H. Wade, Edward P. Davis and Louis Heckman in Massachusetts. In 1880 Charles Whiting joins the company and in 1892 Mr. Whiting designs the first mesh bag, with all rings formed and joined by hand. By 1912 a machine is invented to automate the mesh making process which whiting and Davis purchase the patent for. In 1896, Mr. Whiting and Mr. Davis form a partnership renaming the company The Whiting & Davis Company. Whiting & Davis’ beautiful, high quality purses are the coveted accessory of flappers, actresses and “well dressed women everywhere.” Through automation and advertising, the company expands its reach, becoming, and remaining to this day, the world’s leading mesh handbag manufacturer. During World War II, a shortage of raw materials leads Whiting & Davis to temporarily stop production of its metal mesh bags and turn its attention to supporting the war effort. At the end of the war the company returns to making its signature mesh handbags as well as other mesh goods. The love of Whiting & Davis handbags (new and vintage) continues today and remains the recognized leader in metal mesh handbags for more than 120 years. Whiting & Davis continues to attract discerning fans from top actresses, musicians, stylists, bloggers and you!

Gift wrapping and packaging

I can customize any gift order with a hand written/typed note or card at your request and free of charge. I can offer gift wrapping on most items. Many items are breakable, it is priority items are wrapped with the utmost care to prevent breakage. Items maybe double boxed when gift wrapped.

Custom and personalised orders

A hand written/typed message, note or card can be added to any order at the request of the buyer/sender. Most items are vintage and gently used and are unable to be altered.

Shipping Rates

I do my best to have accurate shipping rates and list the least expensive method available. Shipping overages of $2 or more will be refunded. If a specific type or expedited shipping is desired please communicate prior to purchase so adjustments can be made otherwise an additional shipping upgrade may need to be purchased.

International - Small Packet Surface is the rate most listed for shipping overseas. No tracking or insurance.

How long will it take for my package to arrive?

Time of estimated delivery with depend on your location and method of shipping used. I do try my best to have items shipped within 1 to 2 business days.

Canadian customers: usually 3 to 10 business days.

USA customers (I ship from Montana wit USPS three days a week M, W & Fr) usually 4 to 8 business days.

Overseas-Small Packet Surface is the rate listed- 6 to 8 weeks but has take as long as 3 months. No tracking or Insurance. Small Packet Air (shipping upgrade required) 10 to 14 business days, no tracking or insurance. Not responsible, no refund for lost or damaged packages as no insurance is chosen. I have had great success with both of these methods.

Can I pick up my purchase?

Yes, if you live in Calgary, AB Canada or surrounding area pick up is an option. I do not have a store front so an agreed upon time must be arranged prior to pick up. I am easy to locate in central Calgary, an address will be provided upon completion of sale. There is not a shipping fee for items being picked up. Please contact me prior to purchase so shipping may be removed.

I can deliver within Calgary city limits for a small delivery fee.

Exchanges, refunds & cancellations?

All my items are vintage and previously owned. I do my best to list an accurate description of condition. I take pride in my honesty with description and take the utmost care in packaging items for shipping. I am happy answer any questions or send additional photos

If you are unhappy with an item purchased from my shop please contact me. Cancellations are accepted within 1 hour of purchase. Once the item has been shipped cancellations are no longer accepted.

If insurance is not requested with your purchase, I cannot refund item cost or shipping costs for damaged, lost or stolen packages.
If for any reason an item is to be returned, customers must make contact within 14 days of delivery and are responsible to pay for the return shipping.

Can items be put on hold?

Yes, I can reserve (hold) items up to 24 hours. This allows a grace period for customers to decide on the purchase or for a shipping upgrade to be calculated. A customer can only have the same item reserved (hold) once within a 7 day period.
